We were amazed and captivated by the facade of the hotel. It looked as if we were about to enter Disneyland! As we drove towards the entrance of the hotel, a bellhop with a trolley was already waiting, ready to collect our luggage. We arrived before 1 pm. We were allowed to check in but keys would only be issued at 3 pm. However after a buffet lunch at the hotel restaurant, (around 2.30 pm), we were able to collect our keys and our luggage were already safely placed in one of our rooms. We appreciated this gesture very much. The staff - the bellhop, the receptionist and everybody we encountered, were friendly, courteous and helpful. The boat ride from the hotel into the theme park was pleasurable as it gave one a glimpse of areas of the park which one might not be able to see. I highly recommend taking the boat ride at least once for the hotel guests and I assume this service is only opened to hotel guests. The short walk from the hotel to the park was a pleasurable one as there are many shops and restaurants lining the way. Although facing the big car park, our rooms were quiet. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the comforter was thick enough for the night. The breakfast table had a good spread. We had a hearty breakfast. To sum up, we enjoyed our stay at Okura Hotel.

When we arrived to check in at the hotel reception on the 2nd floor, the conceirge ( a lady) was waiting with the trolley to take our luggages to our rooms. Wonderful service. The staffs are excellent, very friendly and helpful. For the rooms they upgraded us to rooms overlooking the theme park and close together. Really appreciate their thoughtfullness. We are a group of 6 paxs. The hotel is beautiful outside and inside too. They provide a boat ride to the theme park. At night, after closing time at the park, it is only a few minutes walk back to the hotel, super convenient. Also there is a Family Mart downstairs for snacks or souvenirs. The rooms are more spacious than other hotels in Japan. The sheets and pillows are clean and bed are comfortable. The public bath on the 1st floor is so good. It is spacious and clean. They provide plenty of nice amenities, shampoo, conditioner, body shampoo, toothbrushes, hairbrushes etc . As for breakfast, we were given a choice of local and western. We went for the local. It was so good with lots of varieties to choose from. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Huis Ten Bosch.

Celebrating my 40th birthday at Hotel Okura JR Huis Ten Bosch was truly magical. The staff's thoughtfulness shone through with an unexpected gift of a beautiful lavender teddy bear. While the decor may be dated, the exceptional service and stunning environment more than make up for it. My room offered breathtaking views of the park and ocean, making me feel like I was living in a postcard. The hotel's location is ideal, with easy access to Huis Ten Bosch park entrance, car park, and bus stop. Transportation from Nagasaki Airport was seamless, with a short walk from the bus stop to the hotel.Despite the outdated interiors, I have no complaints - only gratitude for an unforgettable stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Huis Ten Bosch and will definitely return in the future.

if you are looking at this, you are most likely going to visit the HTB theme park or even Nagasaki Biopark (which i truly highly recommend) having said that, unless you are willing to pay for much higher room prices then you can look at the official hotels from HTB, then your main 2 options are this hotel and hotel lorelai (the one next to HTB station) the pricing here compared to the others are considered reasonable but do not have discount for HTB tickets, they also have the in-house hot spring bath if you are into those overall, cleanliness and room space are quite good and its not even a far walking distance from HTB station and HTB itself.

The view of Huis Ten Bosch in a snow fall from our room was spectacular - like being in a snow globe. Getting there on the train was fun itself, and it was a quick walk from the station to the hotel, and another quick walk to the park. We took the direct rapid train from Hakata Station. The hot springs bath in the snow was a lovely treat. The Family Mart and Bakery provided excellent choices for a quick bite. I had forgotten my backpack on the train and the staff helped me communicate with the Hakata Train Station to locate it. Luckily I was able to retrieve it fully intact.
